Lake View SC Strategic Master Plan Town of Lake View, SC

Project Overview

Studio Main led the Town of Lake View through a comprehensive Strategic Master Plan funded by the Municipal Association of South Carolina Hometown Economic Development Grant. As part of the grant, Studio Main led Mayor, Council, Advisory Committee Members, stakeholders, property owners, business owners, and members of the public through a six-month planning process that developed strategic marketing and branding, studied retail market analysis, and conceptualized short and long-term goals for priority projects.

Community is the heart of Lake View, South Carolina. With an engaged community base that is “Deeply Rooted. Rising Together.” the Strategic Master Plan focused on connecting the 600 acre historic Page’s Mill Pond to Downtown. These areas were conceptualized with retail market analysis data to determine short-term strategies for implementation. The Gator Greenway connects Page’s Mill Pond to Downtown, Lake View High School, Hilltop Park, and Lake View Park. The park site amenities include new playgrounds, picnic pavilions, centralized parking, and educational and historical signage. The historic Downtown Business District is completed with new streetscape elements to reinforce the branding, with new businesses, outdoor dining, festival streets, and investment areas for future buildings.
